Cognos Report Writer at Insight Global in Boise, Idaho, United States Job Description Job Description One of our clients is looking for a Cognos Report Writer to join their team. Responsibilities include: Develop, design, and maintain reports and dashboards using IBM Cognos. Utilize SQL to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from various sources. Build and enhance interactive dashboards within Cognos to support business decision-making. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure reports meet business needs. Integrate and visualize data using Tableau and Power BI. Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data retrieval and reporting. Ensure data accuracy and consistency across all reports and dashboards. Provide training and support to end-users on Cognos reporting tools and functionalities. Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in business intelligence and data visualization. Skills and Requirements Qualifications: Proven experience with IBM Cognos, including report writing and dashboard creation. Strong SQL skills with the ability to write and optimize complex queries. Experience with Tableau and Power BI for data visualization. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
