The Grants Writing Specialist plans, manages and controls the research efforts required to solicit funding from foundations, corporations and government agencies for INTEGRIS Health Foundation, and authors/submits funding proposals to secure charitable gifts and grants.

Responsibilities

The Grants Writing Specialist responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Independently and in conjunction with departmental leadership, identifies corporate, foundation and government funding prospects.
  • Develops and implements a prospect research program of corporate, foundation, and government funding prospects using a variety of resources.
  • Consults with physicians, department heads, and vice presidents throughout the INTEGRIS Health system in the preparation of proposals to meet the grant-making institutions requirements.
  • Manages the production of grant proposals and tracks, monitors and reports to management the progress of proposals.
  • Communicates with grant-making institutions concerning the use of the grants and to maintain interest.
  • Creates goals and objectives and a detailed plan of action for raising funds from grant-making institutions.
  • Recommends and monitors an annual budget in support of assigned programs.
  • Has the comfort level and ability to write an emotionally compelling grant.
  • Competency of interacting with staff and leadership to gather information and identify system priorities.
  • Provide recommendations on potential funding options that align with system strategic priorities.
  • Build relationships with key program staff at a local level.
Reports to the Director of Philanthropy for the INTEGRIS Health Foundation.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Knowledge of fundraising principles and procedures.
  • 3 years grant proposals experience and fundraising or related field experience.
