Logline: While preparing to take the next step in her career, a young, ambitious black woman’s carefully curated life is upended when her confident, outspoken sister unexpectedly crashes her tea party with her bougie friends, forcing Mira to confront her fear of judgment and identity.

As a near-antagonist in the story, Adanna’s presence sharply contrasts with Mira’s more modest and humble nature, often amplifying Mira’s internal conflicts. Charismatic and opinionated, Adanna exudes a sense of superiority, using her wealth and social status to dominate conversations and assert control over social dynamics subtly. While her surface-level confidence projects an image of perfection, Adanna’s deep-seated desire for flawlessness occasionally exposes a vulnerability she goes to great lengths to conceal.
