Job Description

This is a remote position.

Scope:

  • Full-time role, 40 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday
  • Flexi schedule with 3-4 hours overlapping on client's business schedule from 8AM to 5 PM Eastern Time (9:00 PM to 6:00 AM Manila Time)
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, responsive e-commerce websites.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, marketing, and design, to deliver web solutions that meet business goals.
  • Ensure a seamless user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) across all platforms, with a focus on optimization for desktop and mobile devices.
  • Work with content management systems and e-commerce platforms to implement custom solutions and optimize site functionality.
  • Utilize e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, BigCommerce, and/or Sana Commerce to develop and customize online stores.
  • Develop and maintain integrations with third-party tools, such as payment processors, shipping carriers, and marketing platforms.
  • Troubleshoot, test, and optimize website performance, security, and usability.
  • Stay current with e-commerce trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously enhance the online shopping experience.
  • Communicate with stakeholders and provide updates on project progress, timelines, and potential issues.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in e-commerce website design and development.
  • Proven track record of designing and developing e-commerce websites, specifically for American companies.
  • Experience with Shopify, BigCommerce, and/or Sana Commerce is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of UX/UI principles and how they apply to e-commerce websites.
  • Solid understanding of website performance, SEO, and best practices for optimizing e-commerce websites for speed and mobile responsiveness.
  • Experience with website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to track and improve website performance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with various departments.
  • Experience using APIs to integrate with other systems (distribution inventory, CRM, etc.)
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with Shopify Plus or BigCommerce Enterprise versions.
  • Familiarity with Liquid (Shopify) or other relevant programming languages.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices specific to e-commerce websites.
  • Experience working with design software such as Adobe XD, Figma, or Sketch.
