As a CAD Designer, you will:
- Create detailed models and drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Develop approval, fabrication, engineering, and installation schematics for both customers and manufacturing teams.
- Update and maintain existing drawings while adhering to project specifications.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and peers to resolve challenges during execution.
- Interpret and clarify mechanical designs for fabrication teams and jobsite assembly crews.
- Conduct mathematical calculations to ensure precision in designs and specifications.
- Continuously enhance design tools, processes, and workflows.
- Support the engineering team in creating new products and design solutions.
- Education: Associate degree or technical certification in drafting or mechanical design, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: At least 5 years in a design and manufacturing environment.
- Expertise: Mastery of AutoCAD and SolidWorks with a proven track record of completing design projects successfully.
- Skills:
- Strong ability to interpret and visualize mechanical drawings and designs.
- Exceptional communication, organization, and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in intermediate mathematical calculations.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
