About the Role

The Company is seeking a Senior Counsel for Advertising Sales. The ideal candidate will be an experienced commercial lawyer with a strong background in drafting and negotiating advertising agreements. This key role involves supporting and advising senior stakeholders in the online advertising business, including the ad sales team and requires a focus on efficiency and relationship building. The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of contracts, and will be the first point of contact for the ad sales team's questions regarding advertising contracts and products. Applicants for this role at The Company should have a JD, be admitted to at least one state bar, and have a strong academic background. A minimum of 8 years' legal experience is required, with at least 3 years' in-house experience preferred. The role demands a self-starter who is organized, detail-oriented, and can manage a high volume of deals efficiently. Collaborative skills and excellent written and verbal communication are essential. Experience in B2B sales contracting, particularly in the context of social media or tech, and a good understanding of online advertising, ad tech, and data privacy regulations are also key requirements. Enthusiasm for the platform and its advertising business is a plus.
