A Hybrid working model

We have embraced a hybrid working model, which allows our employees to split their time between the office and other locations. Founded in 2015 with deep roots in virtual and augmented reality, we've earned a reputation for innovatively and effectively applying new technologies in ways that disrupt the status quo. And we've done just that for partners big and small, trusted by teams at Google, Amazon, Netflix, Ford, TikTok, Snapchat, and more.

We are looking to add a Head of Creative Technology to our leadership team. As a key player at Subvrsive, you will lead and inspire our team of Creative Technologists while collaborating with clients, agency partners, and internal teams to deliver groundbreaking technology-driven solutions. From ideation through implementation, you will shape how we leverage emerging technologies to create transformative experiences for the world's most ambitious brands.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Lead and grow Subvrsive's Creative Technology department, driving innovation, defining strategies, and scaling emerging technology capabilities.
  • Technology-Driven Innovation: Partner with New Business and Client Services teams during pitches to recommend and demonstrate how cutting-edge technologies can solve client challenges and unlock new opportunities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (Creative, Engineering, UX, and Production) and external partners to ensure technology enhances and delivers on the creative vision.
  • Team Development: Mentor and upskill Creative Technologists, fostering a culture of continuous learning, experimentation, and collaboration.
  • Hands-On Execution: Support the development of prototypes, proof-of-concepts, and innovative experiences across a range of platforms, including AR, VR, immersive web, and generative AI.
  • Client Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor to clients, educating and inspiring them on the potential of emerging technologies and ensuring exceptional client experiences.
  • Process Optimization: Define and improve processes for concept development, prototyping, technical handoffs, and ongoing support, ensuring alignment across disciplines.
  • Thought Leadership: Stay ahead of industry trends, sharing insights with internal teams, clients, and the broader industry through presentations, workshops, and content.

What We're Looking For

Experience: 10+ years of experience in creative technology, with significant leadership experience. Proven success leading teams to create and deliver immersive technology solutions for top-tier brands.

Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience in at least one of these areas: AR, VR, generative AI, 3D web (React, Three.js), social filters, or spatial computing. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, Swift, Unity, or Unreal Engine.

Creative and Analytical Skills: A blend of technical expertise and creative problem-solving, with a proven ability to innovate and push boundaries. Strong UX/UI knowledge, including the ability to analyze and improve user experiences.

Collaboration and Communication: Exceptional collaboration and leadership skills, with the ability to bridge creative and technical disciplines. Confident communicator comfortable presenting to internal teams, clients, and external partners.

Passion for Technology: A strong curiosity and passion for emerging technologies, with a track record of staying ahead of industry trends.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in a creative agency or production studio.
  • Knowledge of traditional creative tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Miro).
  • Familiarity with project management tools and workflows (e.g., Airtable, Asana).
