Job Description

As the Sr. UX/UI Designer, ensure an accurate translation of stakeholder/user group needs into design requirements. Initiate a comprehensive approach for user research and workflow analyses, data-informed design proposals, and prototyping and testing designs for product teams and business process improvements. Work extremely closely with client stakeholders and Product Owners/Product Managers to strategize and develop a suite of applications, irrespective of operating systems (including Windows, Web, Android, and iOS) or platform, and support holistic product/service portfolio solutions that meet Business objectives. Develop a design system to support a cohesive ecosystem of products and redesign service workflows to achieve process efficiencies and cost savings. Measure and optimize web-based applications to enhance usability, leveraging industry best practices and applying a variety of approaches to validate an optimal customer/user experience.

Key Performance Expectations:
  • Works to understand core Business objectives to provide user-centric solutions to advance service/product success.
  • Creates a design strategy for a portfolio or product suite for the organization.
  • Works to unify product and engineering personnel behind a product design that caters to target audiences; shapes product development with Product Manager, Product Owner, Lead Engineer/Developer and other key stakeholders.
  • Able to segment user groups and work with multi-disciplinary teams to gather primary and secondary information and insights around user needs and business objectives using a variety of research techniques/methods and tools.
  • Translates gathered requirements into innovative design solutions for multiple user personas that optimize for accessibility, scalability, and performance.
  • Conduct and facilitate highly organized workshops with client stakeholders/users and product teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to present complex concepts in simple terms.
  • Develop information architecture for a portfolio or suite of products and applications that ensures alignment with customers/users' needs.
  • Develop service blueprints reflecting future-state improvements and dependencies for user segments, contributing functions/capabilities, and supporting systems.
  • Develop future-state prototypes to demonstrate complex user flows and system interactions.
  • Develop and maintain design systems that ensure consistency across multiple (cloud-native) applications.
  • Work closely with developers to ensure seamless implementation of designs and resolve any design-related issues during development.
  • Organize and conduct UAT/user testing to validate intuitive interactions, customizations for user groups, and degree to which requirements meet Business and user needs.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of UI/UX design experience, with focus on technical products.
  • Analytical ability to map design solutions to business objectives and desired service/product improvements.
  • Portfolio demonstrating complex enterprise application design.
  • Track record of shipping successful products in technical domains.
  • Solid experience in creating service blueprints needed to convey dynamic use of features and functionality to improve product/service delivery.
  • Strong ability to organize information and project tasks effectively for all phases of a project (end-to-end product development) and future iterations.
  • Robust communications and facilitation skills for conducting user research, interacting cross-functionally and with various stakeholders, and managing design sessions and workshops that includes conveying design decisions to technical teams.
  • Strong presentation and storytelling skills for conveying design solutions.
  • Proficiency in design/prototyping tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe Suite (e.g., InDesign, Illustrator, etc.) Miro and product development tools like JIRA/Confluence, Azure DevOps.
  • Knowledge of web and mobile design principles, responsive design, and accessibility best practices for digital platforms.
  • Experience using agile development processes and collaborating with cross-functional teams, including full-stack engineers, to execute design efforts effectively.
