Harvard Business School’s MBA Admissions seeks a Marketing Coordinator to support its efforts in attracting a diverse and talented pool of candidates to the MBA Program. The MBA Admissions Marketing team oversees the prospective student journey from recruitment (across various channels, including on-campus and off-campus events, social media, email, and more) through enrollment. The Coordinator will play a dual role, focusing on college pipeline initiatives and general outreach/marketing efforts. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to HBS’s mission of cultivating future business leaders while engaging with diverse audiences and executing impactful marketing strategies. Pipeline Program Development and Coordination: Assist in the planning, execution, and logistical management of virtual and in-person events designed to connect with and inspire college students, ensuring seamless execution and alignment with broader admissions goals. 2+2 Outreach: Support the planning, execution, and logistical coordination of virtual and in-person events aimed at promoting the 2+2 Program, encouraging high-potential candidates to apply for this deferred admissions opportunity. Digital Marketing and Content Creation: Collaborate with the digital marketing team to implement email campaigns, develop targeted strategies, and create tailored content for college students, including digital, print, and multimedia materials. Performance Tracking & Reporting: Collect data, track metrics, and prepare updates on the effectiveness of events and other initiatives, offering insights and actionable recommendations for improvement. Event Representation: Represent HBS MBA Admissions at virtual and in-person events in the U.S. to promote graduate business education. College Audience Expertise: Build and share expertise on the college audience to inform strategies, educate stakeholders, and support outreach efforts. MBA Outreach
Segment Coordination: Provide logistical and administrative support for outreach targeting a specific applicant segment, including event coordination, digital marketing, and content creation. General Event Support: Assist in the execution of general outreach programs, ensuring smooth logistics and alignment with admissions goals. Digital Marketing and Content Creation: Collaborate with the digital marketing team to implement campaigns, develop strategies, and create tailored content for various audiences. Performance Tracking & Reporting: Gather and analyze data to evaluate the success of events and other initiatives, offering insights and recommendations for future improvements. Event Representation: Represent HBS MBA Admissions at virtual and in-person events (primarily domestic) to engage with prospective applicants. Additional Marketing Activities
Provide on-campus customer service and administrative support for Admissions events and activities. Support team-wide initiatives, including Admitted Students Welcome, Interview Days, yield activities, conferences, and internal team-building events. Contribute to a collaborative team culture, demonstrating a willingness to learn and share knowledge with colleagues. Participate in weekly Marketing team meetings and report to the Assistant Director, Pipeline Programs. Responsible for other duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required. 5 years of experience in hands-on admissions and/or marketing work. Education beyond high school may count toward experience. Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and Zoom experience is a must. Additional Qualifications and Skills Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Willingness to travel and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with sound judgment and attention to detail. Additional Information This is a 40-hour/week, overtime-eligible position. This position is approved as a term appointment with an end date of 12/31/2025. There is a possibility of renewal. This is a hybrid position which we consider to be a combination of remote and onsite work at our Boston, MA based campus. HBS expects all staff to be onsite a minimum of 3 days per week and departments provide onsite coverage Monday – Friday. Specific hours and days onsite will be determined by business needs and are subject to change with appropriate advanced notice.
