Opportunity at a Glance

The Director of Content Marketing will lead the creative strategy, content creation, and advertising development while overseeing marketing and creative initiatives within the Creative and Content Center of Excellence (COE). This individual will manage a team of marketing professionals responsible for delivering creative content across paid and owned channels, ensuring alignment with brand strategy and business objectives.

The ideal candidate brings a hybrid mix of corporate and agency experience, with a strong understanding of brand building, campaign strategy, and content development across multiple platforms. This role requires a strategic thinker who understands the difference between a brand platform and large-scale brand campaigns, can define a brand’s positioning, and execute multi-million-dollar brand awareness campaigns that integrate both creative storytelling and performance-driven marketing.

A key responsibility of this role is transforming brand and creative insights into effective, full-funnel campaigns that engage audiences across paid, earned, and owned media. The Director of Content Marketing must balance brand awareness, lead generation, and performance optimization while leveraging data and insights to inform decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the account and marketing team, ensuring seamless collaboration between internal teams and agency partners.
  • Develop and oversee full-funnel creative strategies, ensuring the integration of brand identity and campaign execution across all channels.
  • Implement market research and data-driven insights to optimize campaign performance and inform creative direction.
  • Oversee the development and production of multi-channel paid media campaigns, including television, digital, and social.
  • Drive lead-generating marketing programs such as trade shows, direct mail, events, and online campaigns.
  • Define and implement creative storytelling strategies tailored to different channels and audiences.
  • Ensure content and campaigns align with brand voice, brand guidelines, and overall business objectives.
  • Partner with agency and in-house teams to develop and execute high-impact brand awareness and performance campaigns.
  • Manage agency relationships, budgets, and contract negotiations, ensuring efficient execution of marketing initiatives.
  • Establish content production workflows, ensuring quality, efficiency, and alignment with business goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including institutional marketing, product teams, finance, and compliance.
  • Present strategies, campaign performance, and insights to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Implement agile testing and performance data reporting, refining strategies based on real-time analytics.
  • Oversee owned-channel content across social media, CRM, direct mail, and event marketing.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in marketing management, with a mix of agency and corporate experience.
  • Deep understanding of brand marketing vs. campaign execution, with experience defining a brand’s identity and executing large-scale campaigns.
  • Experience working with major brands—preferably in broadcasting, media, or other large-scale industries.
  • Proven success in developing and producing multimillion-dollar brand awareness and television-driven campaigns.
  • Expertise in performance marketing, paid advertising, and content production.
  • Strong understanding of market research, data-driven insights, and reporting tools.
  • Proficiency in multi-channel paid media campaign execution, including digital, TV, and social media.
  • Experience leading lead-generation marketing programs, including events, direct mail, and digital marketing.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to develop, mentor, and manage marketing teams.
  • Ability to present and communicate effectively with executive leadership.
  • Experience managing complex, matrixed environments and working cross-functionally.
  • Knowledge of creative strategy, production, and talent management for high-impact campaigns.
  • Proficiency in project management platforms (e.g., Workfront, Monday) and marketing tools.
