UI/Web Designer Job at Spalding Consulting in Patuxent River

Position Type: Full-Time

Essential Functions:

• Responsible for user interface front-end web design including site design, responsive and mobile aware layouts, and CSS on an Agile software development team
• Work with Business Analyst and customers to gather requirements used in creating design mockups
• Work with team to create wireframes for all applications for stakeholder approval
• Create and provide site design packages that include CSS, icons and images
• Convey site design structure and strategy to the technical development team
• Other duties as assigned or required

Qualifications and Experience:

Required:

• 4 years of experience in user interface web design
• Experience supporting the layout and design of software applications
• Must be experienced with CSS, HTML, JavaScript, and Bootstrap

Desired:

• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Fireworks, After Effects and/or Dreamweaver highly preferred
• Experience with Team Foundation Server and Visual Studio preferred
• Experience testing software applications highly desired

Security Clearance:
Active Secret Clearance required. Interim secret clearance acceptable to start.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline is preferred.
