About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Vice President of Marketing and Communications to lead the organization's efforts in advancing health equity, increasing awareness of multiple sclerosis, and driving the growth of the MS movement. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a large, integrated team and will play a key role in the strategic and operational planning of the marketing and communications functions. This includes fostering a culture of inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility, and ensuring that the organization's mission and values are effectively communicated. The EVP will also be instrumental in building and enhancing the Society's brand, and programmatic awareness, and fundraising efforts. Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years' management experience in marketing, public relations, communications, brand development, or digital marketing, with a proven track record of success in a nonprofit or similar environment. The role requires a leader with strong business acumen, organizational leadership experience, and a history of data-informed decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a leadership style that is open to innovation, creativity, and inclusiveness, and will be adept at handling conflict and driving change on an enterprise-wide scale. A commitment to the values of the organization, including the promotion of diversity and inclusion, is essential. The EVP will also be expected to have superior communication skills, the ability to build and maintain effective partnerships, and a willingness to travel as needed.
