Carry projects from the earliest stages of concept and development through to successful completion on time, on budget and as measured by achievement of metrics. Responsible for making significant contributions to the strategic communication support of a business unit or significant department within a business unit. Expected to work with a high degree of initiative and independence in anticipating client needs and developing communication solutions that further the business objectives and supporting their successful implementation.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Strategic communication planning
- Message development and writing
- Using research and analytics to drive planning and messaging
- Following and improving upon established processes
- Strong project management
- Building and maintaining great relationships with clients and co-workers
- Communicating effectively with clients and co-workers
- Using quantifiable metrics to track performance and progress
Responsibilities are varied and complex and include frequent cross-functional interactions. Will work at both business unit and corporate levels. Will interface with business unit leadership and business process owners. In addition, this position serves as a key contributor on the M&C team in a broad range of communications activities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 5 or more years relevant experience required; experience in multiple disciplines preferred
- Bachelor's degree in related field (Journalism, Communication, Marketing, Liberal Arts, Public Relations, Advertising, etc.) required
- Expected to demonstrate expertise through writing and editing tests
- Must demonstrate expertise in the development and disciplined execution of strategic communication plans and using research and audience insight to develop key messages
- Demonstrated discipline in project execution
- Excellent writing, verbal, editing, presentation, and overall communication skills
- Strong dedication to customer service and the ability to remain flexible and adaptable to meet the demands of internal clients
- Sound business and financial acumen
- Ability to perform market research & analytics
- A talent for creative thinking and problem solving
- Ability to follow critical business processes to ensure quality and timely execution of initiatives
- Ability to multitask and maintain high performance under extreme pressure in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
