As a Content Strategist, you are responsible for:

  • Creates effective conversations grounded in knowledge of conversation design, the financial industry, and research.
  • Lead conversational content strategy design sessions with partners, including cross-functional teams such as Product, Marketing, and Technology.
  • Identify gaps and propose solutions.

Content strategy and execution:

  • Apply content strategy principles (planning, creation, governance) to projects to create quality experiences.
  • Architect user experiences with designers and product partners to provide a foundation for alignment, prototyping, visual design, and content design.
  • Produce high-quality UX content, quickly integrate feedback, identify and solve content design problems, and meet business and user needs.
  • Align content to business requirements and user needs to support core strategy.
  • Inform all content decisions based on data, research, and careful planning.
  • Write content according to UX writing standards, align/edit existing or placeholder content to standards.
  • Lead content reviews and influence stakeholders through articulation of content design decisions with clear rationale. Oversee content direction and take part in and/or lead peer reviews.
  • Identify gaps in UX writing standards and propose solutions.

Experience consulting:

  • Create solutions with a cross-functional Agile team, considering how digital, physical, and service channels work together.
  • Use problem definition techniques and data to drive project requirements.
  • Facilitate ideation efforts with a focus on the problem to solve, creating a conversation of “how might we.”
  • Lead reviews and drive decisions, recognizing that great products are achieved iteratively, within scope and budget, emphasizing progress over perfection.
  • Raise potential roadblocks to team or project leads and collaboratively identify how to remove blockers.
  • Maintain the high standards set by the group, including channel standards, content standards, and the Advisor Services design system.

Team leadership:

  • Help drive projects across disciplines to create seamless experiences.
  • Work with teams to estimate project completion based on task completion and resource availability.
  • Foresee potential roadblocks and raise to project leads.

  • Propose solutions that benefit all parties and craft arguments to support position.
  • Have a design position and be open and flexible to moderate that position when new information is presented.
  • Work within an undefined space to define potential paths forward through problem definition and design thinking.
  • Recognize challenges are part of the process and collaboratively find root causes to determine next steps and new directions.

What you have:

  • 6 + years of content strategy focused on digital products or equivalent.
  • 1+ year of conversational design experience is a plus.
  • An online portfolio showing process and strategic thinking.
  • Experience with all aspects of a user-centered design process, including user research, developing user flows, creating wireframes, writing for accessibility, and creating content specifications.
  • Experience working in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team within an iterative process and an Agile development methodology.
  • Strong self-management skills, comfortable with substantial responsibility, working directly with our client partners, and capable of managing your project schedules.
  • Proficient in design tools like Figma, FigJam, and Writer.
  • Experience running design sessions with cross-functional teams.
  • Effective relationship builder–ability to partner cross-functionally and cross-enterprise and work effectively with various levels of the organization as well as various personality types.
  • Comfort in a project-oriented work environment, with a positive attitude and solid work ethic.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $67.73 to $75.26 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
