Job Overview

Position Schedule: Full-Time

Join Edward Jones and be part of a world-class brand team. As the Senior Marketing Creative Manager, you'll work in partnership with internal stakeholders, leaders, and external partners. This person will manage projects for the Brand Team to ensure they run smoothly, meet deadlines, and achieve program goals. The Senior Marketing Creative Manager will oversee initiative execution, manage multiple programs, facilitate governance processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams, key stakeholders, and external agencies. The ideal candidate is a critical thinker who will continuously improve to drive greater value through a culture of respect, trust, and collaboration.

Responsibilities are anchored in planning, execution, and management of brand programs/initiatives.

Program/Initiative planning:

  1. Plan and develop scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for initiatives.
  2. Align schedules and manage interdependencies, risks, and opportunities between projects.
  3. Build and maintain strong working relationships with assigned business areas, matrix project teams, and external partners.
  4. Analyze, evaluate, and escalate/overcome program risks; produce program reports for management and stakeholders.
  5. Strategize, implement, and maintain program initiatives that adhere to organizational objectives.

Project management:

  1. Develop and lead holistic, detailed project and resource plans including timeline, estimates based on scope, contingencies, and identification of appropriate project management tools and methodologies.
  2. Drive projects and communicate project status, key milestones, risks, and dependencies to keep team, strategic partners, business areas, and leadership informed, aligned, and on time.
  3. Lead process and project management improvements that result in increased quality, efficiencies, and overall value to outcomes or teams.
  4. Set meetings, manage participant communications and stakeholder management, earn trust, and develop meaningful partnerships.
  5. Utilize project and workflow management technologies to gather, track, and report project details, including data entry.

Program execution:

  1. Monitor program progress and performance.
  2. Identify and address problems and risks.
  3. Develop program assessment protocols for evaluation and improvement.
  4. Anticipate and provide solutions to issues and risks by understanding and sharing impact on deliverables, costs, resources, and schedule with team and key stakeholders.
  5. Coordinate with multiple project teams, ensuring program goals are reached.
  6. Manage program and project teams for optimal return-on-investment, and coordinate and delegate cross-project initiatives.

Program governance:

  1. Develop and implement program strategies that align with firm goals.
  2. Maintain organizational standards of satisfaction, quality, and performance.
  3. Facilitate brand governance processes, ensuring processes run smoothly and on time to meet brand and partner agreements.
  4. Serve as the primary point of contact for governance process-related inquiries, approvals, and escalations.
  5. Manage budgets and funding channels for maximum productivity.
  6. Develop and manage budget for projects and be accountable for delivering against established business goals/objectives.

Knowledge Requirements:

  1. Proven ability to effectively manage multiple highly-complex initiatives simultaneously.
  2. Exceptional leadership, time management, facilitation, and organizational skills.
  3. Ability to manage competing priorities to drive effective resource utilization under tight deadlines.
  4. Critical thinking with strong business acumen.
  5. Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  6. Ability to influence and build consensus within and across matrixed teams.
  7. Flexibility and resilience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  8. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills (written and verbal).

What You'll Need:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  2. 7+ years' project management experience, preferably within financial services or regulated industries.
  3. Outstanding working knowledge of change management principles and performance evaluation processes.
  4. Advanced expertise in waterfall and agile project management methodologies.
  5. Project management certification (PMP) preferred.
  6. Advanced expertise in project management technologies that may include Workfront, Jira, Confluence, Trello, or similar.
  7. Able to take on multiple highly complex initiatives and effectively adapt to changes.
  8. Continuous learning mindset, embraces feedback and responds well to direction.
  9. Highly motivated and results-oriented with a strong sense of responsibility.
  10. Proven track record of developing and implementing national brand campaigns.
