Job Description

Location: Hybrid in Beaverton, OR (Onsite Monday - Thursday; Remote Friday)

Duration: 6 months

Pay: up to $47.33/hour, DOE

Planet Interactive is looking for a Graphic Designer to join our well-known retail brand on a 6-month contract! This role is 40 hours per week and will be hybrid in Beaverton, OR.

This role requires passion and creativity, along with versatility and focus to see designs through the product creation process. This designer is a dedicated team player that knows how to collaborate, receive feedback, and manage multiple projects at any given time. This designer can also translate complex insights into authentic narratives and create compelling solutions that will help define the future of the company.

Responsibilities

  • Concept, sketch, and present groundbreaking innovative design.
  • Elevate the consumer experience by delivering creative solutions across a wide range of products and consumer types, while driving an emotional connection to the brand through rich and compelling narratives.
  • Collaborate across teams to deliver ideas to physical products.
  • Work with development and business partners, along with athletes, down to the smallest details from choosing trims and print applications to creating presentations to be communicated to broader audiences both internally and externally.
  • Contribute to and create narratives and visuals across a variety of products.

Qualifications

  • 5 years or more of graphic design experience at agency or in-house setting, or equivalent combination of relevant education, experience, and training
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design
  • Passion and understanding of current and emerging design trends and visual culture
  • Ability to translate insights into authentic narratives and visual storytelling
  • Proficient understanding of typography design and trends
  • Strong visual and verbal communication skills, able to effectively present design intent to internal and external audiences
  • Proficient in sketching, illustration, print and pattern, color theory and layout
  • Proficient in graphic applications, development, PR and schematic tools and the apparel product creation processes
  • Proficient in Adobe CC and comfortable working within new digital spaces
  • Highlight and elevate diverse points of view while fostering an environment of inclusivity
