Cartersville Bartow County Tourism is seeking a motivated and creative Social Media Intern to help enhance our digital presence and share Bartow County's unique story. This role offers a flexible schedule and the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in marketing and communications while working with a dynamic and supportive team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Reels and Short-Form Video Creation: Develop captivating video content to boost engagement and highlight Bartow County's attractions.
  2. Social Media Management: Write engaging, on-brand captions for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
  3. Campaign Support: Create social media posts tied to blog content, pairing compelling visuals with 'Learn More' links to drive traffic to the website.
  4. Content Writing: Assist with writing and editing blog posts and brainstorming newsletter content, focusing on creativity and clarity. A willingness to explore and experiment with new content ideas is highly valued.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. No formal experience required, but candidates should have a strong understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn) and be comfortable creating posts, writing captions, and engaging with audiences without extensive training.
  2. Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to craft engaging, concise content tailored to different platforms.
  3. Creativity and attention to detail, with an eye for visuals and storytelling.
  4. Interest in tourism, community engagement, or digital marketing.
  5. Familiarity with blogs and/or experience writing newsletter content is a plus.
  6. Knowledge of Adobe or Canva is a plus.

Schedule: Flexible - roughly 15 hours per week.

Compensation: $12/hour.

Location: Based in Cartersville, GA.
