Purpose
The primary focus of the IO Media Assistant role is to manage project materials through all stages of the digital, non-linear video editing process. The ideal candidate is a team player that desires to work at a company that values a creative team atmosphere. They are self-motivated, proactive, quick-thinking, flexible, thorough, and able to juggle many tasks and responsibilities at once with a strong emphasis on organization and an unwavering attention to detail at all times. This is a very demanding position that requires someone who is an effective communicator, positive thinker, and is able to show good judgment and initiative.
Job Responsibilities
- Download and organize, barcode (physical media) and distribute all media sent to Wild Card; passing footage to the Assistants to be transcoded.
- Become an expert on all turnover platforms; Box, PIX, Frame I.O, Wiredrive, FTP, Filerunner, etc.
- Media Management; physical media and digital assets.
- Internal media movement such as posting media via Wiredrive, Filerunner, CatDV (Akomi), and shuttle drives (if applicable).
- Posting Presentation to Producers (Internal) and Clients (External).
- Running Evercast sessions in real-time the Editor’s bay to the client.
- Dialogue Breakdowns within Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Running onsite temp Voice Over sessions.
- Obsessive attention to detail; ensuring the Client and Internal distribution lists are accurate.
- High level of communication between team and internal stakeholders.

- Ability and willingness to work overtime with little or no notice.
- Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook as well as Adobe Premiere Pro are a must. Photoshop, After Effects, and Audition skills a plus.
- Previous experience with current camera formats, codecs, and frame rates.
- DaVinci Resolve and AVID Media Composer experience is a plus.
- Working knowledge of a number of applications including but not limited to Excel, Word, FTP posting, general network storage, and basic computer file systems such as File Maker.
- Meticulous, collaborative, patient, level-headed, able to work well under pressure and maintain a positive attitude.
- Available to work a flexible AM or PM schedule including potential overtime.
- Available to be on rotating weekend on-call schedule.
Pay Range
$22 - $22 USD
