LOCATION OF POSITION

Annapolis, MD

POSITION DUTIES

General Purpose: The Junior Photographer will work closely with the Chief Photographer and Senior Staff Photographer and serve as one of the official photographers for the Governor’s Office.

  1. Serve as an official photographer for the Governor’s Office.
  2. Attend events and meetings to photograph the Governor, Lieutenant Governor, and First Lady.
  3. Take official portraits and is responsible for editing, processing, and producing images.
  4. Contribute to the archive of photographs maintained by the Governor’s Office and Maryland State Archives for use by the Governor’s Office, agencies, external stakeholders, and the public.
  5. Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Prior photography experience, preferably in a government, political, or campaign environment.
  2. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and execute tasks on tight deadlines.
  3. Ability to work nights and weekends.
  4. Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Lightroom, and Premiere.
  5. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
