Call for Candidates: Durham Land Development Studio Principal

The Land Development Studio Principal will lead a team within our Durham, NC office specializing in the design and construction of various Land Development projects across multiple sectors including Healthcare, Civic, K-12, Higher Education, Commercial/Retail, and Office. You will have the opportunity to mentor and build a team dedicated to Land Planning projects while collaborating daily with your team and leaders within the office and across the firm. This role emphasizes engagement on key projects, providing thought leadership and guidance to clients, and prioritizing team members.

Our ideal candidate will be a licensed Civil Engineer or Landscape Architect with a keen understanding and experience in high-level design of Land Planning projects across the region.

Primary Objectives

• Design Expertise & Execution: Deep experience in executing Land Development projects and improving the quality of work through thoughtful design.
• Business Development: Initiate and develop new business opportunities, targeting new clients and existing relationships.
• Client Satisfaction: Become a trusted advisor to clients, focusing on client care and service.
• Financial Responsibility: Maintain strong studio profitability and understand market conditions affecting costs.
• Leadership & Team Building: Communicate clearly, mentor, motivate, and work productively toward common goals.
• Thought Leadership: Lead internal teams and establish the firm at the forefront of the industry.
