Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals, and experience.
- Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user-friendliness to complex design roadblocks.
- Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
- Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering.
- Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback to enhance and polish the user experience.
- Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards.
- Maintain and enhance our suite of web applications, ensuring strong optimization and functionality.
- Develop and test software, incorporating innovative features, and ensuring that the design and functionality meet our high standards of quality.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a UI/UX Engineer or similar role.
- Expert in React and Material UI.
- Experience with Flask, Python, and Linux is a must.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
- Demonstrable UI design skills with a strong portfolio.
- Advanced knowledge of all stages of the design process (wireframes, mockups, and prototyping).
- Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction.
- Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively.
- Up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies.
- Experience working in the manufacturing industry is a plus.
