Senior User Experience Designer – Construction &

Our team seeks a Senior User Experience Designer to join our global design team. Over the next year, our team will be tackling a range of challenging initiatives. We are putting our customers at the heart of everything we do and we’re relying on your skills to facilitate our product teams’ understanding of our customers’ behaviors, needs, and motivations.

We are on a mission to unlock possibilities for our customers by creating a seamless experience across our platform. We’re bringing intelligence into our solutions and exploring the adoption of Oracle’s new design language. There are compelling customer problems to solve, with plenty of complexity and assumptions to unpack!

The success of this role requires close collaboration and coordination with product strategy, technical product management, engineering, and the wider design team across the globe. You will use your storytelling ability to communicate ideas for different audiences including sales, consulting, and executive leadership.

Responsibilities

Some of your daily tasks:

  1. Planning and conducting research using appropriate qualitative and quantitative methods to express the customer problem, understand the business context and measure the success of our products.
  2. Teaming up with engineers to find the best solutions to our challenges.
  3. Explaining your design rationale and goals to engineers, product strategy, technical product management, and others.
  4. Using visual tools such as interactive prototypes, experience maps, user journeys, storyboards, workflows, and wireframes to communicate.
  5. Planning and facilitating workshops to meet customer needs.

Minimum Requirements

BA/BS degree in Design, HCI, CS or related field, or equivalent practical experience, or equivalent industry-specific experience.

5+ years of demonstrable industry experience in UX design or information architecture. Experience with visual and interaction design tools.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $87,000 to $178,100 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
