We are looking for a Senior .NET Developer to provide web-based applications such as .NET, HTML, ASP, Java scripting, Linux scripting, PYTHON scripting; Oracle databases (SQL and PL/SQL), Android programming scripting, and Kafka implementation and support, to a major public sector transportation client. This position will be full-time and hybrid.
What You'll Do
Provide immediate operational support and stability to the Transit systems technology stack.
Develop and implement mobile-compatible custom applications.
Support the reporting tier for Web (ASP, .NET), Oracle/SQL Servers, and MySQL data stores.
Develop .NET-based applications using advanced frameworks.
Determine reporting requirements and departmental ownership of reporting - Analyze Web Tier.
Support 3rd party application integrations and reverse engineer integrations as needed to ensure operational stability.
Support CleverCAD upgrade with a scope focused on integrations with specific data stores.
Perform gap/fit analysis and effort to migrate reporting to CleverCAD, Oracle BI, or other BI solutions.
Reverse-engineer scripts in support of TSP operations as needed.
Perform code fixes on custom applications to ensure availability of customer-facing signs (24x7 support).
Document and streamline support processes for customer-facing signs to build the knowledge base.
Document applications process flows (e.g., BUS PIN, backup BUS PIN application at Control Center, etc.).
Stabilize interfaces and integrations.
Work with 3rd party vendors and other external support teams as needed.
What You'll Need
A bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
Understanding of SQL and relational databases.
5-7 years' experience in the following: .NET, HTML, ASP, Java scripting, Boot Strap, Linux scripting, Oracle databases (SQL and PL/SQL), MS SQL SERVER.
Ability to work independently.
Familiarity with source code control.
Experience with the implementation of large-scale web applications using the .NET framework.
Knowledge of data security standards related to PCI and PII.
Organized with attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
