Title: Marketing Intern
Reports to: Marketing Manager
Location: DMG MORI USA, Hoffman Estates, IL
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm
Classification: Exempt
Travel: 10-20%
Employment is conditioned on DMG MORI's ability to obtain and maintain any necessary export licensing.
Essential Job Functions:
The Marketing Intern is primarily responsible for supporting the planning and execution of Marketing activities in the USA. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily and must be able to regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment. The Marketing intern supports the Marketing USA Team with various events and communication tasks. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Primary scope of position includes but is not limited to:
- Planning & Organization support for events and exhibitions (incl. external events, Open Houses, Delegation trips).
Support with onsite setup, communication internally with involved parties within a project, externally with exhibition organization, suppliers, partners, booth builders, and agencies
- Support local Technical Center events
- General support for the Marketing USA team
- Content Management
- Advertising efforts
- Graphic design & video-related tasks
- Analytical reporting and preparation of documentation materials for Manager
- Support with preparations of presentations for various meetings within the team and for usage in management meetings
- Support communication efforts within the Marketing team, including:
- Social Media activities
- Internal communications
- Newsletter activities (internal & external)
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or the equivalent in related work experience
- Related work / internships / school project experience
- Computer Skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams, ToDo, Tasks, Outlook, etc.)
- Skills in graphics design Software preferred (InDesign, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Photoshop)
- Multi-tasking and ability to work with high volume activity
Work Environment: Spends time in office setting primarily. With customers, spend time in the manufacturing environment (assembly, machining, and quality control facility). Exposed to possible hazards including and not limited to high noise, heavy equipment, and other automated and manual machinery.
Physical Demands:
Frequent: Sitting at a desk, utilizing computers and phones. Repetitive hand, wrist, arm, and shoulder movements.
Periodic: Standing, walking, bending, and stooping.
Occasional: Business travel. Lifting, pushing, and pulling objects.
