As we continue to expand our brand and community presence, we are looking for a dynamic Public Relations and Event Coordinator to lead our PR initiatives and organize impactful events that strengthen our market position and customer relationships.

Job Summary:

The Public Relations and Event Coordinator will be responsible for developing and executing public relations strategies and coordinating dealership events to enhance brand awareness and customer engagement. This role requires excellent communication skills, event planning expertise, and a strong understanding of public relations in the automotive industry.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Public Relations (PR) & Community Outreach
    1. Press Releases & Media Relations: Managing public relations efforts, including creating press releases, handling media inquiries, and building relationships with local and national automotive media.
    2. Sponsorships & Partnerships: Securing partnerships with local organizations, events, and influencers to enhance visibility in the community and enhance the dealership group’s reputation.
    3. Charity & Community Events: Supporting and participating in community service or charity events to enhance brand image and create goodwill.
    4. Event Marketing: Planning and executing events like car shows, test-drive events, grand openings, or VIP customer events.
    5. Monthly Customer Newsletter: Manage and distribute to customer email database our monthly dealership and auto group newsletter with updates about inventory, personnel, stories, events, etc.  
    6. Mauro Motors Magazine: Manage the production, sponsorship and partnerships of our Auto Groups Magazine, which is a new program.
    7. Bridgeport Amphitheater Sponsorship: Managing and planning the ticket distribution of our sponsorship with THE AMP to make sure we reward great customers with great experiences. Keeping the schedule filled is a priority.
  1. Internal Relations and Employee Engagement:
    1. Monthly Internal Newsletter: Develop, Manage and distribute a monthly email to all employees about “What’s Happening at Mauro Motors” to provide company wide updates and awareness on the latest news and updates within the auto group.
    2. Mauro Motors Apparel: Oversee and facilitate ordering of any Mauro Motors employee apparel with our vendor(s).
