Introduction -
With a focus in satellite manufacturing and software development, Turion Space is on a mission to unleash our galactic destiny as a spacefaring civilization. To do this, we're starting with Earth Observation to understand the environment in space while building our pioneering fleet of satellites. Phase two - space debris. Phase three - asteroid mining.

Work Model -
This is 3 months, 100% onsite at our headquarters in Irvine, CA. This may lead to a full-time offer depending on performance and fit.
Our interns are mentored by industry experts responsible for developing and telling the story of our progress, mission, and vision.
Expected start date: February/ March
Responsibilities will vary depending on each intern's area of expertise. We are currently looking for candidates with experience in the following disciplines:
Digital Design/UX/UI
Graphic Design/Brand Design
Marketing
Communications/PR
Social Media
Public Affairs
Editorial (Writer)
Internal Communications
Merchandising
Media Production
Key Responsibilities Work directly with our Sr. Brand Strategist to create visually compelling assets for digital and print, including presentations, web content, and marketing materials.
Assist in the development and refinement of UI/UX designs for our satellite tracking applications and website.
Contribute to branding efforts including upgrades to our design system, ensuring consistency across all internal and external communications.
Conduct research and stay up-to-date on industry trends to bring fresh ideas to the team.
Support the creation of merchandise and promotional materials.
Prepare design files and assets for handoff to developers or external vendors.
Participate in brainstorming sessions, providing creative solutions to design challenges.
Required Qualifications Required Ability to work full-time onsite.
Must be a U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident
Must be available for 40 hours per week
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Proficiency with Windows operating systems.
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a design-related program (e.g., graphic design, visual communication, or a similar field).
A portfolio showcasing design projects that demonstrate creativity, attention to detail, and technical skills like composition and color theory.
Strong communication skills and a willingness to accept feedback.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to take direction, work independently, and seek help when appropriate.
A positive and curious attitude with team spirit.
Preferred Familiarity with UI/UX design tools like Figma or Sketch.
Illustration / infographic skills or experience creating custom graphics.
Experience collaborating on branding or large-scale marketing campaigns.
An interest in the space industry and emerging technologies.
Nice to Haves Experience with motion design and video editing software such as After Effects or Premiere Pro.
Familiarity with 3D design software like Blender or Cinema 4D.
Knowledge of HTML/CSS or web design principles.
