One of the most beloved resorts in New England, The Woodstock Inn & Resort is seeking a Marketing Coordinator to join the team.
Seeking an artistic, career-driven individual with creative passion to be responsible for brand building through content creation for social media, traditional, and digital marketing strategies. Anatural marketer who thrives at influencing and persuading others through consumer engagement while working with our dedicated marketing team. The ideal candidate enjoys outdoor recreation, has a love for Vermont/New England and historic legacy, with an excitement for tourism. Experience in photography, videography, graphic & digital design, social media strategies, and strong computer skills preferred.
Duties/ Responsibilities:
- Capture, create, and edit engaging content that encourages audience interaction and participation.
- Work with resort managers to develop a social media content calendar with engagement through posts, stories, reels, photos, and videos on multiple dedicated resort channels.
- Provide reports to outline the success of existing social media campaigns.
- Collaborate in the creation, editing, and production of digital content: web pages, blog posts, events, menus all through the resorts' content management system (CMS).
- Provide email marketing support and database management.
- Maintain brand standards on online partnership channels.
- Design print materials for all resort outlets including wayfinding signs.
- Manage digital assets of the resort's photography, video, and collateral.
- Support & participate in photo/video shoots.
- Keep guest promotional materials and channels current.
- Be a brand ambassador for the Mission, Values & Vision of the Woodstock Inn & Resort.
- Stay current on design techniques and using a wide range of content management systems.
- Think outside of the box and develop fresh, new, and exciting creative ideas.
- Be capable working independently and as part of the marketing team.
- Be familiar with all resort services and amenities along with local attractions; Billings Farm & Museum and the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park.
- Acknowledge and greet all guests, anticipate guest needs, and respond to guest inquiries and comments.
- Passion for social media content, creation, and engagement.
- Photography skills and video editing for marketing use including social media.
- Extract relevant insights from social media data to communicate results and refine strategies.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud and MS Office.
- Proficient in using graphic design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite, is a plus.
- Strong eye for graphic design and effective branding for marketing collateral.
- Ability to work with maximum efficiency, accuracy, and attention to detail. Including strong project management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in proofreading and editing materials.
- Must have strong verbal, written, and grammatical skills.
- Communicate effectively.
- Must be self-directed, motivated, and a continuous learner of marketing trends.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communication, graphic design, hospitality or related field.
- Related experience, or internship in content creation or marketing.
