Designs, develops and delivers performance-based learning solutions.
Job Responsibilities
- Applies knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design.
- Provides pre-training functions such as registration verification, room setup, etc. as needed.
- Facilitates pre-established training programs as needed.
- Conducts post-training evaluations, analyzes the results, and updates training content as needed.
- Works collaboratively with management and subject matter experts to understand desired performance, assess learning needs, and develop appropriate training solutions.
- Utilizes the learning management system (LMS) for tracking employee training.
- Creates and follows standard work instructions.
- Stays abreast of current and evolving learning trends.
- Researches and applies industry benchmarks and practices.
- Keeps inventory and orders training materials and supplies.
- Maintains content of department webpage.
- Participates in regional and national training events and discussion boards.
- Designs content for training programs.
- Researches new training techniques and suggests enhancements to existing training programs.
- Trains, monitors, and sustains Leadership Development Program.
- Provides updates to leadership regarding learner progress and performance.
- Acts as a point of contact for department leaders and end users when opportunities in staff improvement arise.
- May act as mentor to other trainers.
- Works closely with assigned departments/divisions to determine how Organizational Development can support the organization's strategies, priorities, and needs.
- Actively seeks out opportunities in the organization where improvement is needed and partners with appropriate stakeholders to plan, implement, monitor, sustain, and improve organizational projects.
- Frequent travel to offsite locations required.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Organizational Development required upon hire OR
- Bachelor's degree or higher in related field required upon hire
- A combination of education, training and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- A minimum of 2 years' relevant experience required
- No licensure/certification/registration required
- Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.
- Works under minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Must be able to balance time between class preparation, class delivery and project task work.
- Must be able to work independently as well as in a team situation and meet deadlines.
- Must be self-motivated.
