Audio/Video Engineer Job at Insight Global in Independence

We are searching for a contractor who can help improve the quality of our Playback solution, specifically around theaudioand video media processing. This contract is for6 months or less. The scope of work is modernizing the existing solution that handles theaudioand video media. It is one of the critical functions of thePlayback solution and can be subject to regulatory compliance.

Proficiency in C++ (the existing solution is written in C++) and open to porting to this another language like C## or better wrapper
Multithreading and concurrency
Understanding of Media codecs like H.264, 265, AAC, MP3 and others
Video and audio formats
Transcoding and encoding like FFmpeg
Real-time protocols like RTP, RTSP, and others
Networking programming
Timing and synchronization
Media editing libraries
Timeline and composition knowledge
Signal processing
COM/ WPF windows specific skills for media processing
Optionally, machine learning for media, GPU programming
