About the Role:

Title: Marketing Coordinator
Location: Oklahoma City, OK
Reports to: Marketing Manager
Type: Full-time; 40 hours/week
Classification: Exempt

Summary of Position:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and resourceful Marketing Coordinator with a passion for martial arts, especially Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ). The ideal candidate will help elevate our brand, engage with our community, and drive interest in our BJJ programs, merchandise, and events. This role is perfect for a creative individual who thrives in an energetic, fast-paced environment and is excited to contribute to the growth of our BJJ community.

Essential Functions:

  • Marketing Campaigns: Collaborate with the marketing team to plan, develop, and implement multi-channel campaigns, including email, social media, print, and digital advertising.
  • Content Creation: Assist in creating, curating, and editing content for various platforms, ensuring brand consistency and compelling storytelling.
  • Social Media Management: Schedule, post, and monitor content across social media channels; engage with audiences and track performance metrics.
  • Event Coordination: Plan, coordinate, and attend company events, tournaments, seminars, and sponsorships. Ensure seamless execution while maximizing brand visibility and engagement with target audiences.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Track and report on the performance of marketing activities, leveraging data insights to optimize future strategies.
  • Team Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with sales, product development, and external vendors to align marketing activities with broader business objectives.
  • Market Research: Conduct competitive and market analysis to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation.
  • Equipment Management for Sponsored Teams and Athletes: Coordinate with sponsored teams, and athletes, to manage equipment needs, including inventory, distribution, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with sponsorship agreements.

Competencies (knowledge, skills, abilities):

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS), customer relationship management (CRM), social media platforms, and marketing tools.
  • Basic knowledge of event planning and coordination.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Creative mindset with a focus on innovation and problem-solving.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Travel: The ability to travel frequently for business purposes, ensuring presence at key events, meetings, and initiatives.

Education and Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, and Business is a plus but not required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a marketing or administrative role.
  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms like HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar systems is a plus.
  • Basic design skills (experience with Canva, Adobe Suite, or similar software is a plus).

Work environment: Typical office conditions – no exposure to adverse environmental conditions or loud noises
