Job Description Position Title: Producer III Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract Producer III opportunity. Job Responsibilities: Writing scripts and editing video for all digital platforms Monitoring breaking news and search/social trends Gathering editorial information through research and interviews Brainstorming and regularly pitching story ideas Experimenting with video formats to reach new audiences Assisting with programming platforms and publishing to social networks Occasionally shooting video in the studio and in the field Collaborating with colleagues in bureaus around the world. Job Qualifications: 5+ years of working at a major media outlet, or equivalent experience Experience fact-checking stories and conducting interviews Passion for breaking political news and current events Track record of collaborating in a deadline-driven environment Strong writing, communication, and interpersonal skills Must be able to work holidays, weekends, overnights and extended hours as the news cycle and deadlines require. Job Details: Job Type: Contract Location: Washington, D.C. Pay Rate: $75/hr.
