REG Architects is an award-winning architecture firm with over 35 years of experience in architecture, historic preservation, interior design, community planning, educational, municipal, residential, mix-use and commercial development. Responsibilities:
- Assist Senior Designer, Principals, and Project Managers in the preparation of architectural designs and programming for multiple projects which include but are not limited to floor plans, elevations, renderings, site plans, sketches, diagrams, and photographs.
- Prepare conceptual through final design packages for a variety of uses including but not limited to Client presentation, Request for Qualifications/Proposal (RFQ/RFP), Award Competitions, Office Lectures.
- Research and prepare preliminary zoning/development land use code analyses including coordination with consultants, and municipal Planning & Zoning staff.
- Research and ensure compliance of designs with Florida Building Code and other codes where applicable.
- Maintain office standards and quality control protocols.
- Coordinate and track project billing effectively and efficiently for accounting department.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or higher in Architecture from a NCARB accredited university.
- 12+ years of Design work experience.
- Experience with a wide variety of building types.
- Historical preservation, especially Classical Architecture, experience is a plus.
- Comprehensive knowledge of a variety of architectural design styles and language, particularly those present in Florida.
- General knowledge of current Florida construction materials and methods.
- General knowledge of Florida Building Codes and municipal zoning codes.
- Excellent hand sketching skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organization, detail-oriented, and self-motivation skills.
- Excellent team skills and abilities to collaborate with staff, consultants, and others.
Software Knowledge:
- 3DSoftware: Revit, Sketchup, and Enscape experience(additional rendering software experience is a plus)
- 2D Software: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign experience
- Other Software Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), Bluebeam.
