In addition to daily Studio Associate responsibilities, the Assistant Manager will also:Uphold and model all policies within the Policy and Procedures Manual and maintain and update the document as needed.Assist in the promotion of events, party packages and workshops and help with the smooth operation and success of such eventsMotivate, train, and mentor staff in order to reach and/or exceed studio goals. Maintain company safety standards/housekeeping and be proactive in safeguarding all studio assets Foster a sense of teamwork. Have more than a basic knowledge of glazing, kiln loading, and the functions of the kilns. Work with the Studio Manager in creating exciting and robust sales programs that engage the studio associates, drive increased sales, and are measurableProactively communicate and report to the Studio Manager and is expected to respond to and act upon given direction from Management and Owner. Be willing to assist with monthly staff meetings. Must be able to attend staff, sales and training meetings as scheduled.Be responsible for supervising opening and/or closing dutiesBe able to resolve customer complaintsBe able to recognize a need and delegate tasks at handAnswers customers' questions.Perform other duties that may be needed in the studio. Follows ownership standards and provides coaching/feedback to team members Responsible for consistently exceeding customer expectations, driving repeat business and positive Google reviews through exceptional service and unwavering commitment to customer satisfactionEstablishes and maintains customer relationships to increase customer retention - Know the regularsCollaborates in creating a successful customer retention strategy Proposes new and exciting studio offerings (ex. Monthly Events, Art Nights, Workshops), collaborating with the Events Team for flawless execution, and hosting these events successfullyCustomer tracking:Is aware of the number of customers that visit the studio each day, week and month and identifies patternsReviews with management the customer analytics and presents ideas for increasing our customer baseEvaluate the items and experiences in the studio that the customers enjoy most by creating and completing engagement surveysGeneral Operations:Communicates to the Studio Manager about pottery items customers request and items that we need to re-orderOversees that shelves are properly stocked, priced, and orderly (or assigns staff) Ensures that items are received timely, unboxed, and put in shelves ( along with staff)Ensures that staff reports broken items to the Owner for credits/refunds from vendorsResponsible for ceramic processing breakdowns and the creation of more efficient proceduresAll staff members at our studio receive hourly pay plus tips. Hourly disclosed here is a very conservative estimate. Events and parties create great potential for added tips as they are paid to the staff running the party directly. Each employee is in charge of creating more income by doing more parties, especially during the Holidays.WORKING CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSThe Assistant Manager position is a full-time position that requires a minimum of 35 hours for full time.
