ASM Global is hiring: Audio Video Technician PT in Kansas City

Job Summary:

The Audio and Video Technician - Part-time Staff is responsible for providing an excellent guest experience at T-Mobile Center events by assisting in the planning, operation, and maintenance of audio, visual, and lighting systems. This position will primarily be operational and technical, assisting in event-based production. A flexible, part-time work schedule is required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Essential Duties:

• Assist in determining equipment and service requirements for events.
• Set up, operate, and strike professional audio, visual, lighting, and other equipment per event.
• Maintain professional audio, visual, and lighting equipment, making minor repairs and adjustments or reporting the need for repairs.
• Operate audio-visual and other production equipment.
• Proficiency in video editing, animation, and graphic creation preferred.
• Supervise tasks as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications (Job Knowledge, Skills, and Education):

• A minimum education level of a Bachelor of Arts/Sciences Degree.
• At least one year of related work experience.
• At least one year of event-based production experience preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.
• Specific experience related to video/scoreboard production in a 16,000+ seat sports and entertainment facility; organizing and directing event production requirements for sporting and entertainment arena events preferred.
• Knowledge and previous experience working with NBA, NHL/AHL, NCAA (hockey and basketball), FELD Entertainment, AEG Live, Live Nation, and other concert and family show promoters preferred.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Ability to communicate effectively and develop positive working relationships.

Preferred Qualifications (if applicable):

• At least one year of event-based production experience preferred.
