We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, competent and skilled Music/Performing Arts Technician to join our Department at Stafford College. You will utilise your knowledge and experience to facilitate and take responsibility for all behind-the-scenes activities for all student theatre productions. You will need to be available during performances to control lighting, staging, and sound effects - ensuring that productions are delivered efficiently and smoothly.
You will manage all aspects of staging, lighting, and sound, ensuring appropriate storage of performing arts and music equipment, set, costumes, and props, as well as maintaining and repairing items and equipment.
To be successful, you will need to hold a technical qualification relating to Music/Performing Arts and have knowledge and experience in using sound/lighting/theatre AV equipment. You will also possess proficient IT skills with a good working knowledge of Protools and Logic Software. A good basic level of education including literacy and numeracy to GCSE or equivalent is required, with the ability to adopt positive working relationships. You should demonstrate that you are a team player who can work effectively as part of a team.
