GENERAL FUNCTION:

  • Assist in preparing and effectively execute a flight manual management plan.
  • Assist in identifying requirements for flight manuals resulting from safety issues, aircraft modifications, different equipment configurations, operational requirements, etc.
  • Review recommended flight manual changes, identify potential impacts of those changes, and provide inputs to the Government program manager.
  • Interface and coordinate with foreign customers on flight manual issues.
  • Coordinate printing and distribution of flight manuals and the associated flight manual updates.
  • Review, track, and monitor verification and delivery of flight manual data.
  • Prepare reports and plans as requested by the program manager, including data management and funds plans for use by the program manager.
  • Attend flight manual related conferences, reviews, and aircrew working group meetings.
  • Participate in process improvement meetings, including IPT meetings, PMRs, and other meetings in support of flight manual workload requirements.
  • Carry out other administrative duties as assigned or requested.
  • Establish and maintain effective professional working relationships with co-workers and customers.
  • Follow policies and procedures as described in corporate manuals and directives.
  • Regularly check and manage your company email to ensure a timely response to communications, including emails from team members, managers, and clients.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certifications/Experience/Skills:

  • MA Degree and at least 10 years of experience in the related field, 5 of which must be with the DoD, OR BA Degree and at least 12 years of experience related to the position requirements, 5 of which must be with the DoD, OR 15 years of directly related experience, 8 of which must be with the DoD.
  • Must have prior operational/aircrew experience with in-depth knowledge of flight manual utilization.
  • Must possess and maintain a government security clearance at the Secret Level.
  • Must be able to perform functional duties independently.
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft programs (including Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Must be able to transport self to various facility sites, as required. If using own motor vehicle, must possess a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
  • Preferred prior maintenance background and FMS experience.
