The Studio Stylist will support the Studio Production team styling on-model, forms & still life imagery for boutique and trunkshow. Taking direction from our Styling Director and in-house production team, this position will work to elevate and execute the fashion styling across all site categories.
This is a 5 day a week onsite position in our Industry City office in Brooklyn, NY.
Primary Responsibilities include:
- Style on average 42 on brand, on trend and editorially relevant on-model outfits for our daily photo sets and present to the Styling Director for approval.
- Partner with the on-set photographer to select all necessary on-model perspectives to ensure photo assets feel fresh and directional.
- Partner with on-set teams to ensure 'How To Wear It With' outfit credits are scanned for every style shot.
- Style on average 40 bust form and still-life styles per set as needed.
- Work closely with the Styling Director & Senior Stylist to understand Moda’s aesthetic and style product from a consistent POV.
- Manage all pulls and preparation of styling apparel and accessories prior to shoots.
- Oversee handling of merchandise and samples while in the studio’s possession, ensuring they are received and returned in immaculate, sellable condition and in a timely manner.
- Liaise with Retouching teams to ensure all intended notes are actioned before product launches.
- Liaise with Buying teams to ensure product is being shot according to brand/designer/season specifications and all necessary styling pieces have been pulled.
- Monitor website to ensure consistency amongst product shots and alert teams of any discrepancies.
- Support the Senior Stylist & Creative teams with seasonal editorial projects when needed.
- Be a key, go-to, positive representative for the Styling team.
Qualifications/Ideal Experience:
- 3+ years of styling experience across on-model, bust forms and still life.
- Styling experience in an editorial/luxury fashion environment.
- A strong and thorough knowledge of luxury designers and brands (including brand pairings).
- A real sense of runway looks and what trends are happening each season.
- Strong fashion and styling sense with the ability to incorporate new fashion trends.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, e-commerce setting.
- Respond to change with a positive attitude.
- Professional communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate well with team members.
- Exceptional work ethic and organizational skills, along with a keen eye for detail.
- Willingness to work off-hours, as needed.
Job Type: Full-time; Onsite role with five days a week in our Brooklyn NY (Industry City) office space.
Salary: $55,000 - $80,000 annually + Discretionary Bonus & Equity Eligible.
