Senior Media Relations Manager

Fast Horse, Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States, 55400

It's not enough to know how to tell a good story. Here, you'll help create them.

Fast Horse, an award-winning, creative communications agency, is hiring a Media Relations Manager/Senior Manager to join our integrated team. Our ideal candidate will have 3-9 years of experience working in media relations and a proven history of executing successful campaigns on a national level.

We're searching for someone with the tenacity to drive day-to-day media relations initiatives, including developing creative pitch angles, writing media materials, identifying media targets, conducting media outreach and leading coverage analysis. We partner with some of the world's best-known companies like Audi, Heineken, Post and Schwan's on some of their most visible brand campaigns but are just as passionate about the niche projects we bring to life for our B2B clients. Celebrity campaigns, experiential activations, influencer integrations, thought leadership; it's all on the table as you lock arms with an integrated team that puts ideas ahead of egos.

This job is best suited for someone who has worked at an agency or in-house driving media coverage for companies, brands, executives - or better yet - all three. Keeping up with the changing media landscape and pop culture trends across industries is a must, as is forming relationships with key reporters across a variety of verticals. We're looking for candidates who are obsessed with securing results, have an energizing attitude that makes building relationships with media come naturally and can creatively bob and weave throughout a campaign to ensure coverage. If you've ever repeatedly refreshed a browser until the page was updated with campaign coverage, you're in good company.

Our proposition is built to unlock maximum value for our clients and potential in our people. No working in silos or fighting for a seat at the table. No competing interests or incentives. One office designed for integrated teams, not individual departments. Ideas come from everyone and they are optimized for earned, shared, owned and paid media from the outset. To that end, successful candidates must have the ability and desire to work closely with integrated team leads, strategy, creative, social, influencer, and other disciplines to conceive campaigns and flawlessly bring them to life. To be successful in this role, candidates must feel confident contributing ideas throughout the campaign and execute media relations tactics flawlessly.
