Job Description
POSITION OVERVIEW
As a BIM Designer, you will be responsible for creating, modifying, and managing building information models (BIMs) to produce prefabricated wall, floor, and roof assemblies to be manufactured in our prefabrication facility. This includes the manufacturing of Cold Formed Steel (CFS) building components on our roll formers and complete panel assembly. You will work closely with architects, engineers, and our construction teams to ensure accurate and efficient BIM modeling. The BIM Designer will primarily work in an office environment, with occasional visits to construction sites. The role may also require evening or weekend work to meet project deadlines.
POSITION DUTIES/REQUIREMENTS

- Create and develop 3D models of CFS panelized building assemblies.
- Produce shop drawings, documentation, and manufacturing files from BIM models.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure BIM models are accurate and up-to-date.
- Coordinate BIM modeling efforts with engineering and design teams.
- Assist in the development and implementation of BIM standards and processes.
- Train and mentor junior BIM staff.
- Participate in project meetings and provide BIM-related expertise and support.
- Provide As-Is drawings at the end of each project incorporating any changes in design.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Must be independent self-starter and possess advanced time management skills
- Work well in team environment consisting of TCM personnel, General Contractor and Design
Team.
- Understands how to build and maintain relationships with TCM Personnel, Suppliers, General Contractors, Etc.
- Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Advanced shop drawing and construction document interpretation skills
- Ability to identify problems and develop creative solutions that minimize impact on the project.
- Understanding of material processing, fabrication, industry standards and code.
- Proficiency with Procore, Microsoft Office Suite, and ShopOps
- Must embrace technology and be committed to running a digital project to the greatest extent possible.
- Understands field installation methods and how to select correct systems for project.
- Ability to prepare detailed material take-off and source quotes based on plans and specifications.
- Must possess working knowledge of the systems and products below
- Cold-Formed Steel Framing
- Gypsum Board Assemblies
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift 30 lbs.
- Ability to walk job sites with varying terrain
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
- Occasional as required by the project
