Job Overview: We are seeking a talented and experienced Piping Designer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in creating and designing piping systems within industrial plants, using P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), Plant 3D, and other relevant piping software. This role involves designing complex piping systems, collaborating with engineers, ensuring adherence to codes and standards, and producing detailed drawings for construction and installation.

Key Responsibilities: Piping System Design: Design piping layouts, system arrangements, and piping supports based on project specifications and industry standards. Ensure the designs are in line with the project’s goals and the overall plant design. P&ID Creation & Interpretation: Create, update, and modify Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID). Ensure the accurate representation of process flow, piping, valves, and related equipment within the diagrams. 3D Modeling: Utilize Plant 3D software to model piping systems in three dimensions. Ensure that the models align with design specifications, avoiding interferences and facilitating construction. Drafting & Detailing: Produce detailed construction drawings, including isometric and orthographic views of piping systems. Detail pipe routing, dimensions, material specifications, and valve locations for field installation. Collaboration with Engineers & Project Teams: Work closely with mechanical, process, and civil engineers to ensure proper integration of piping systems within the plant. Provide design recommendations and suggestions for optimization. Standards Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure that all designs meet relevant industry standards (e.g., ASME, ANSI, ISO), client specifications, and project safety requirements. Assist in quality checks to confirm that designs are error-free. Revisions & Updates: Address changes or updates to designs and drawings based on project scope adjustments, site conditions, or client feedback. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of design work, revisions, and changes. Provide timely status reports to project managers and engineering leads.

Required Qualifications & Skills: Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in piping design, with a focus on industrial plant or process design. Extensive experience with P&ID, Plant 3D, and other piping design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SmartPlant 3D).
