About the Role
At Giftogram, we're looking for a Senior Front-End Developer with a strong product design sensibility to help shape and build intuitive, high-quality user experiences. This role is ideal for someone who writes exceptional front-end code but also cares deeply about UX and UI design.
Unlike traditional front-end roles, this position is not just about implementing pre-defined mockups. Instead, you will actively contribute to the UX and design process, collaborating with product managers and designers to craft intuitive interfaces. You will be responsible for coding GUI screens in React, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS, while also contributing to design systems, UI component libraries, and UX best practices.
If you have an eye for detail, an appreciation for great design, and the front-end skills to bring interfaces to life, we'd love to hear from you. What You'll Do Build and refine user interfaces in React, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS, leveraging Ant Design and Storybook. Collaborate closely with product managers and designers to shape UX/UI decisions and contribute to the design process. Implement responsive and accessible front-end solutions that work seamlessly across devices and screen sizes. Maintain and improve our UI component system and design patterns, ensuring consistency and scalability. Prototype in Figma or code to explore and validate UI/UX concepts. Advocate for UX best practices, usability, and design thinking in front-end development. Identify and address UI performance bottlenecks, optimizing for speed and smooth interactions. Participate in code reviews, design critiques, and cross-functional discussions to enhance the overall user experience. Stay up to date on modern front-end development, UI trends, and emerging technologies to keep our product ahead of the curve. What We're Looking For 6+ years of experience in front-end development, building enterprise SaaS solutions. Deep expertise in React, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS, with a strong focus on building well-structured, maintainable UI components. Experience working with design systems, component libraries (Ant Design, Storybook), and reusable UI patterns. A strong understanding of UX principles, usability, and interaction design-you should be able to contribute meaningfully to design discussions. A portfolio showcasing both coding skills and UX/UI contributions, with examples of shipped products where you were a key front-end developer and UX contributor. Attention to detail-you care about pixel precision, animations, typography, and user experience polish. Experience working closely with designers, product managers, and engineers to refine and implement UI/UX solutions. Knowledge of responsive design, accessibility best practices (WCAG), and front-end performance optimizations. Bonus Points Experience prototyping in Figma, Framer, or similar tools. Background in early-stage startups or fast-moving SaaS companies. Familiarity with motion design and micro-interactions to enhance UX. Pay & Benefits The estimated annual base salary for this role in the U.S. is $145,000 - $175,000. The final offer will be based on experience, qualifications, and location. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, which may include: Equity opportunities 401(k) retirement plan with a 4% company match Medical, dental, and vision insurance Generous paid time off (PTO) We believe in rewarding talent and dedication with a supportive, high-growth environment and benefits that help you thrive-both personally and professionally.
