Elementary Librarian/Computer Lab Teacher

Essential Functions
Ensure that the work environment in the learning center and media center is Christian based,
nurturing, wholesome, and loving.
Work with the administration and staff to address the spiritual formation needs of the students.
Have knowledge of the schools curriculum, standards, and Christian mission.
Integrate biblical principles and the Christian worldview throughout the curriculum and
activities.
Provide a good learning environment by keeping proper discipline in the learning center and
media center and other places on the school premises.

Read current literature in the field of learning center science and educational media.
Attend seminars, workshops, and college courses to stay abreast of current educational
media and learning center science philosophies and techniques.
Ensure that the learning center reflects a professional and Christian environment.
Have knowledge of the physical and emotional development of childrenparticularly at the
age level of the children being taughtand understand the problems they face.
Employ a variety of instructional aids, methods, and materials that will provide for creative
teaching to reach the whole childspiritual, mental, physical, social, and emotional.
Respond daily and appropriately to all communiques. Provide a good learning environment by
keeping proper discipline in the learning center. Participate in continuous professional
development as deemed by administration.
Teach students basic computer skills, including keyboarding, word processing, and
online research.
Introduce digital citizenship concepts, such as online safety, privacy, and responsible internet
use.
Familiarize students with educational software and productivity tools (e.g., Google
Workspace, Microsoft Office).
Support teachers in integrating technology into lesson plans.
Maintain and troubleshoot computer lab equipment and software.
Conduct and manage book fairs
Ensure that provision is made for the accountability and securing of all funds collected in the
earning center for fines and copy costs.
Supervise extracurricular activities, organizations, and outings as assigned. Support the
broader program of the school by attending extracurricular activities when possible. Involve
parents in prayer and volunteerism as appropriate.
Maintain a clean, attractive, and well-ordered learning center.
Participate in the end-of-year school closing process, such as the inventorying of books,
furniture, and equipment.
Maintain school website, social media, and educational technology.
Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the administration.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of current teaching methods and educational pedagogy, as well as differentiated instruction
based upon student learning styles.
- Develops and administers curriculum consistent with school district goals and objectives.
- Promotes a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small group instruction, and student learning.
- Develops lesson plans and instructional materials and converts lesson plans into learning experiences to develop pertinent sequential assignments, challenge students, and best utilize the available time for instruction.
- Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws regarding education and students.
- Ability to use computer software applications as needed.
- Ability to organize and coordinate work.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students and parents.
- Ability to engage in self-evaluation with regard to performance and professional growth.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others contacted in the course of work.
Education
Hold a bachelors degree from an accredited postsecondary institution.
Hold ACSI Educators certification or be willing to participate in a program to complete the requirements for certification within a specified time period.
Salary
$25,000-$35,000 depending on experience, certifications.
