RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Use Autodesk Civil 3D to perform accurate drafting and annotation for plan, profile and detail sheets for water/wastewater resources, public works, utilities, water, sewer, stormwater, and drainage plans.
- Complete redlines for modification of existing plans and notes or preparation of new details or design elements.
- Complete construction plan sets by compiling all plan, profile, note and detail sheets to present a comprehensive design.
- Coordinating and reviewing design drawings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper standards are followed.
- Investigating and documenting field conditions for proper design background by using simple surveying equipment.
- Understanding of surveying principles and ability to analyze survey data, site drawings, topographic maps, improvement plans, utility drawings, as-built drawings, and system maps.
- 100% daily onsite role (No remote or hybrid flexibility)
- 5+ or more years of experience in civil engineering drafting ideally in Public Works/Water Resources domain.
- Technical degree or certification in Autodesk Civil 3D
- Experience working with engineers and senior designers.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to work in a fast-paced environment dedicated to meeting deadlines.
- Have a working knowledge of CAD standards, features and annotation styles, line styles, sheet set manager and drawing setup.
- Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing multi-step tasks.
- Willingness to learn and expand capabilities.
- Ability to work in a team and work well with others.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
