Summary of Position: As a Data Visualization Engineer, you will use data to create visual representations, such as charts, graphs, and dashboards. You will use digital tools to present complex data in a way that's easy to understand. In this role, you will support robust and repeatable data manipulation, large scale infrastructure for data ingestion, and stunning data visualization for custom client applications. Essential Functions: Obtain, integrate, clean, and prepare data for analysis from a wide variety of sources and formats. Explore, analyze, and summarize large, diverse datasets through multiple techniques (e.g., visualizations and interactive dashboards) to enable decision making. Products may be developed using off-the-shelf software such as Qlik, Tableau, PowerBI, or other DoD-approved software. Provide tools, applications, and training for users to conduct independent assessment of data under their control and explore, analyze, export, and publish insights they create. Job Specifications/Requirements: Bachelor of Science degree in Data/Business Analytics or closely related IT field. 3+ years of work experience in the field. Strong SQL skills, and ability to identify issues with data. Experience with Visualization tools such as Qlik or Power BI. Experience extracting, transforming, and structuring data to support exploratory analytics and visualization. Desired Skills: Experience with Advana is a plus. Experience with CDAO is a plus. Familiarity with the mission space and Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness (O) is a plus. Experience with machine learning, with statistical modeling, and/or time-series forecasting analytics is preferred.
