HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT:

The Graphic Designer for Skip Hop will be instrumental in developing captivating digital visual experiences that elevate our brand and engage our audiences across diverse platforms and channels.

This role will report into the Art Director and is based in our New York office in our on-site (3 days, remote 2 days) work environment.

60% Skip Hop Design and Execution of Retail and Wholesale

Translate creative briefs into original concepts and designs that align with overall business goals and objectives

Uphold brand consistency and integrity across all touchpoints, reinforcing the Skip Hop brand identity and market position

Produce high quality digital designs across Retail, for a wide range of media including our eCommerce site, marketing emails, digital ads, social, digital catalogs and more.

Support Art Director on International Tradeshows throughout the year, specifically for K&J; including developing planograms, exterior booth graphics, retouching requests

Lead design support for sales meetings and leadership presentations

Responsible for managing multiple projects from kick-off to completion, within given creative parameters and demanding deadlines while seeking ways to improve processes and quality of overall output

Manage on time deliverables for weekly campaigns and project routings

Collaborate and brainstorm cross-functionally with Copywriter and Art Director for brand creative

Present creative concepts in confident manner to senior leadership team on a weekly basis

40% Photography Support

Lead photo retouching requests for eComm and Specialty photography shots

Create product animation assets for eComm and marketing materials

Develop and deliver on time infographics for PDPs and marketing materials

Develop contact sheets for product setups for eComm

WE’D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF:

Must have:

5 years of graphic design experience (retail a plus)

Strong design portfolio

Exceptional design sensibility, with a keen eye for composition, typography and color theory

Detail-oriented approach and a commitment to delivering flawless design experiences

Ability to multi-task and work efficiently under pressure with careful attention to detail

Proficient in industry-standard software: Figma, Adobe creative (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Video editing software (a plus) Microsoft Office, Contentful (a plus) Mac OS

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate and present design concepts effectively

Familiarity with social media platforms and their design requirements

Preferred skills and experience:

Has a strong grasp of the creative concepting process (from idea to execution)

Understanding of design principles for Web, mobile, video, presentations, while keeping the user in mind

Develop strong relationships with cross functional team members (Brand, Production and Design) through communication and problem solving

Ability to translate a marketing brief and execute day-to-day requests

Self-motivated, organized, and accountable

Passion for pushing design boundaries and challenging the status quo to achieve the best results

Willingness to continuously learn and expand skills to stay relevant in the field

Abe to find solutions that balance differing opinions and maintains project momentum

Experience in building strong, trusting relationships with team members and stakeholders

Comfortable sharing ideas and point of view in meetings

Compensation for this position ranges from $80,000 - $90,000 a year based on experience
