Hook your dream opportunity and reel in your creativity by becoming a Design Intern at Pure Fishing in Sandwich, IL! Dive into the exciting world of Research and Development and help shape the future of fishing products What will you do? Assist the New Product Development (NPD) Team in enhancing existing products, ensuring they align with our brand and boost manufacturing efficiency. Help streamline the file organization process for seamless cross-functional collaboration. Bring your creative ideas to life by conceptualizing and presenting new product designs for review by the NPD team What makes you a great catch? Experience with 3D CAD systems (Modeling/drawings) in SolidWorks. A strong sense of urgency, you're ready to meet deadlines with ease! Eager to learn and understand manufacturing BOMs (Bills of Materials). Proficient in Microsoft Office tools like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. A basic understanding of the injection molding process. You'll have the opportunity to sharpen your skills and contribute to exciting tasks like: Legacy Rebranding & Part Updates : Update part files using CAD and save them in the released directory. Create and save parent assembly files for SKU releases. Creating Missing Assembly Files: Develop assembly files for all current catalog items and store them in the released directory. New Product Concepting: Design 1-3 new product ideas to present to the engineering and brand teams. Product Profiles & MTOP Management: Help manage product profiles and maintain MTOP (Manufacturing Technical Operations Plan). Your Work Environment: Expect to split your time between the office and the manufacturing environment, where you'll be: Designing plastic injection molded components and assemblies. Generating 3D models and CAD drawings. Collaborating with manufacturing partners to optimize designs for new and existing products. Creating technical documentation, including drawings and BOMs. What You will Need to Succeed: Self-motivation, the ability to follow instructions, and the capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
