Position Summary

The Animator focus specializes in creating animation and visual effects and delivering control and movement to characters, creatures, objects, scenery, and environments by using successive physical or digital drawings, models, or other techniques. Includes electronic games, websites, software products, film, television, and other media.

Delivers control and movement to characters, creatures, objects, scenery and environment displayed within electronic games, websites or software products. Applies knowledge and uses technical process ability in techniques such as rigging and skinning, kinetics and basic cinematography. Collaborates with programmers and artists to balance seamless movements and optimized performance on the target platform. Applies developed skills, knowledge and proficiency in animation packages, such as 3ds Max, Maya, Substance, to develop work product.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Work alongside experienced artists to create game art for all aspects of our slot games, including symbol art, backgrounds, display art and game animations.
  2. Create high-caliber art, maintaining excellent art quality in regard to character design, color theory, layout, text treatment, and animation ability.
  3. Continually sharpen artistic and software expertise through company training, independent learning, and learning from other team members.
  4. Produce high-quality art in an iterative process.
  5. Display a high degree of professionalism at all times, accepting critique from team members.
  6. Accountability for the timely completion of all assigned tasks.
  7. Demonstrate excellent file structure and organization. Create art assets and document all art assets created with minimal mistakes.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor of Arts in art/animation.
  2. 1 – 2 years previous experience as an animator in a production environment.
  3. Excellent drawing and rendering abilities.
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  5. Proficient in Photoshop.
  6. Working knowledge of Illustrator, Animate, After Effects, Studio Max or equivalent 3D platform.
