As Congruent continues to develop, we seek an enthusiastic, skilled Video Editor to join our team.
What You’ll Do
- Creative Collaboration: Work with internal teams to help concept videos and campaigns; collaborate during the editing process, accept and constructively process feedback, and offer proactive solutions for challenges.
- Video Editing: Use advanced editing techniques to create polished final products, including color correction, music and sound design, and motion graphics.
- Sound and Music Design and Production: Edit audio, select and create sound effects, and help select music tracks for video and audio content.
- Production Management: Ensure on-time execution and delivery while juggling multiple projects to meet varied client deadlines and deliverables.
- Content Creation: Edit engaging short-form video content for various platforms, including social media, digital placement, and broadcast.
- Strategic Input: Collaborate with the creative and marketing teams to develop media content strategies that align with client goals and drive conversions.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends and new technologies to continuously enhance the quality and effectiveness of our media content. Proactively build on existing skills.
- Team Encouragement: Contribute to a positive team atmosphere at the office and on set.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need
- 3+ years of professional editing experience, preferably in an agency setting.
- Bachelor's degree in film production or related field.
- A full understanding of the spectrum of the production process including pitching, pre-production, and post-production.
- Editing skills that result in a range of video content–from emotional and story-driven to bite-sized social content. Basic skills in text animation or color correction would be a major plus.
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, Media Encoder, etc.) and other video editing software.
- Strong storytelling abilities and a keen eye for visual composition and detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to manage expectations and feedback professionally.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
- A robust portfolio showcasing the specific work you did and a range of video projects.
