JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX Sports Digital is seeking a dynamic Freelance Digital Video Specialist with a passion for sports to join their team in Los Angeles. The Freelance Digital Video Specialist will be responsible for creating engaging content for sports and podcasts, condensing podcast segments into optimized vertical videos for platforms like TikTok and YouTube Shorts. The Freelance Digital Video Specialist will contribute to the daily operations of our YouTube and TikTok channels and produce full game highlights that highlight key storylines. A strong knowledge of sports and experience in editing full-length podcasts and VODs are essential for this role. A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Create fun digital content for Sports and Podcasts
2. Condense podcast segments into vertical videos that are optimized for different digital platforms i.e. TikTok and YouTube Shorts (The Joel Klatt Show, Kevin Harvick's Happy Hour, NFL on FOX Podcast)
3. Run or contribute to day-to-day operations of YouTube and TikTok channels
4. Create full-game sports highlights that identify key storylines of the game
5. Edit full-length podcasts and VODs

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

1. 1+ year of Digital/TV editorial experience
2. Experience editing full-length podcasts and VOD/headline creation
3. Experience in day-to-day operations of running a YouTube Channel
4. Writing skills and SEO experience
5. Familiarity with digital platforms, industry terminology, and understanding deadlines
6. Strong vertical video editing skills for TikTok/Reels (9x16 and 16x9)/YT shorts including caption creation, added visual elements, storytelling
7. Strong written and grammatical skills required for writing video metadata
8. Strong sports knowledge and a passion for sports
9. Advanced Adobe Premiere knowledge, video editing, and storytelling
10. Advanced knowledge of digital platforms, YouTube, and TikTok
11. Intermediate Photoshop knowledge and YouTube thumbnail creation
12. Knowledge of how to edit compelling video content using Adobe Premiere
13. Understanding how to best optimize video for TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, and Foxsports.com
14. Build and maintain relationships across a variety of groups including social media, production, and other show teams
15. Effectively communicate with social media managers, producers, and other project stakeholders
16. Ability to manage and organize multiple concurrent projects
17. Ability to work weekends/nights as needed as schedules will vary by season with sports

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $24.00-28.50 per hour. We provide medical/dental/vision insurance and 401k after they meet eligibility criteria and any State required time-off, in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
