As a Prime Video technologist, you’ll have end-to-end ownership of the product, user experience, design, and technology required to deliver state-of-the-art experiences for our customers. You’ll get to work on projects that are fast-paced, challenging, and varied.

We are looking for an experienced QA engineer to drive manual and automated testing within Prime Video Playback services across a broad technology stack. This role involves deep involvement on projects from design to development & deployment. In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute significantly to the future of the Prime Video playback experience.

You will work with Software Development Engineers to understand features and technical implementation. You will also work with groups such as Product Management and UX designers to understand customer usage models and develop test plans and suites that approximate real-world environments and regression tests driving the software development process toward quality-centric methodologies. You will develop automated tests to help fasten testing cycles and release faster to our customers.

Key job responsibilities:

1. Test Planning and Execution: Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for new features and product releases.
2. Bug Identification and Resolution: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, document, and resolve software defects.
3. Automation tooling: Develop, extend, and maintain automated tests on iOS, Android, Web, and Living Room Clients to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
4. Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure a seamless integration of quality throughout the development lifecycle.
5. Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in retrospectives and contribute to process improvements to enhance overall product quality.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of quality assurance engineering experience
• Bachelor's degree
• Experience in manual testing
• Experience in automation testing
• Experience as QA lead on medium to large sized projects

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with at least one automated test framework like Selenium or Appium
• Experience in gathering test requirements to create detailed test plans and defining quality metrics to measure product quality
